Consider this helpful checklist before you make a final decision about your college.

  • Is the college listed on the on the national CRICOS register?
  • Is the course listed on the State Register as one of the college’s approved courses?
  • Will the course help you achieve your career goals?
  • Has the college been visited by you or someone you trust, who has met staff, seen facilities and understands where it is located?
  • Do you know total costs, including application and enrolment fees, tuition fees, books, equipment, assessment and reassessment fees?
  • Do you know what the real costs of living in Victoria will be, including accommodation, transport, food and entertainment?
  • Have you compared cost and duration of the course with others in Victoria?
  • Do you meet course admission requirements, including English Language proficiency?
  • Have you read the college prospectus, student handbook and course requirements?
  • Do you have a copy of the college enrolment agreement or contract?
  • Do you understand your rights and obligations as an international student in Australia?
