Celebrating all things Asian pop culture, Asia Pop Fest invites local and international students, fans of Asian pop music and the pop-curious to welcome the start of the university year with an unforgettable evening in Melbourne’s most iconic outdoor music venue.

Big music acts include K-pop superstar, Ailee, Sing! China first runner-up and Singaporean singer-songwriter Nathan Hartono (向洋), an appearance by virtual Japanese pop star IA (from voice synthesiser software Vocaloid), and more international acts to be announced, plus stalls, dance competitions and food trucks.

From 5–7pm, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl amphitheatre will host activities for international students and their friends: gaming, student support info, an acoustic stage and the official Lord Mayor’s Student Welcome.

From 7pm, as the sun goes down, it’s time to move to the main stage for a huge line-up of international acts straight from the stages of Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore….and a few unexpected guests.
