Online courses

Box Hill Institute offers a range of quality and industry-relevant courses that are delivered either online, remotely or through blended learning (a combination of on-campus and online study).

Courses that are delivered online give students the freedom and flexibility to learn in a place and time that works for them, allowing them to complete it at their own pace.

Remote learning includes a combination of online and remote delivery, and involves scheduled classes where students log in with other classmates to complete tutorials and assessments.

The Gordon

One of the largest regional TAFEs in Victoria, The Gordon has been helping international students gain real skills for real jobs for over 100 years. Online students can choose from more than 60 short personal interest courses.

The Gordon celebrates 100 years of international education providing quality vocational education and training. Since 1920, students from more than 75 countries have come to study a range of certificate, diploma and advanced diploma courses.

Our small class sizes, hands-on training, guaranteed work placements and pathways to university will help students get the necessary skills to succeed in their future career. Students will have direct access to staff to assist them with their online coursework and will be joining other students studying onshore.

Student support

Holmesglen uses a variety of tools to deliver a strong virtual classroom experience. Our Webex videoconferencing system and Brightspace learning platform create virtual spaces that allow classes to run remotely. Teachers and students can chat, video conference, share files and screens to learn together.

Online students have full access to Holmesglen’s support services, including IT and the library. Holmesglen's online Learning Skills Centre offers support with assignments, study skills and coursework.

SuniTAFE also offers short courses in engineering design focused on Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) with industrial applications.

The Essential Farm Worker training delivers practical work readiness information and an induction to the horticulture industry.

SuniTAFE teachers are experienced at providing personalised support to students studying online, ensuring they understand the course content and assessment requirements.
