Learn and practice useful habits and skills to look after your wellbeing.

Kangan Institute has partnered with the YMCA to deliver a series of free online Wellbeing Wednesdays sessions to international students via the YMCA’s Virtual Y platform.

On Virtual Y, you will have access to exclusive youth content that can help you learn new skills, calm your mind with wellbeing practices and stay connected through activities and interactive sessions. Plus a huge range of fitness-on-demand classes to help you keep your body moving while you’re stuck at home.

Our Wellbeing Wednesday sessions will focus attention on your wellbeing, addressing the important needs of your mental and physical health and wellness, stemming from the current social isolation restrictions due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Virtual Y believes in the power of inspiring young people to engage with communities and improve wellbeing by accessing exclusive fitness videos, nutritious recipes, wellbeing advice, family activities and being part of their youth hub.

Upon registering for Wellbeing Wednesday, you’ll gain access to customised sessions in general Yoga, Yin Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Meditation.

You’ll receive a private link to access the livestream sessions. (The link will ask you to sign up to Virtual Y and adhere to the terms and conditions of the site). Once you are in the session, you will have the opportunity to ask questions, jump into chats and provide feedback during the session.

You'll need comfortable workout clothes, space to move and a towel and drink bottle. A yoga mat may also be used.

Be mindful of your personal limitations and experience when participating in our Livestream yoga sessions.
