The Victorian International Education Advisory Council (IEAC) is a non-statutory committee established by the Minister for Trade to provide advice to the Victorian Government on issues and policies relating to Victoria’s international education sector.

On 24 November 2020, the Victorian Government announced funding of $33.4 million over one year to support the short-term economic recovery of the international education sector, and to continue support for international students.

The International Education Short-Term Recovery Plan outlines a comprehensive package of initiatives that will reset and stimulate the sector. This investment will also lay the path for a new long-term International Education Strategy to be released mid-2021.

Further details on the implementation of each initiative will be released shortly. Download a copy of the International Education Short-Term Recovery Plan here.
