Tell us a little bit about yourself and your achievements to date

As a proud Hanoian from Vietnam, I embrace myself as a ‘Glocal’ – a Global Local in Melbourne. I am a lover of life, a fierce lady who stands up for what is right. I love surrounding myself with like-minded people, which has led me to create The Glocals podcast!

What are your goals for the future?

My ultimate life goal is to create my dream life and bring value to people by creating connections, sharing knowledge and curating empathy. My five-year goal is to start and run a social enterprise to help people see problems as opportunities while truly embracing our global society.

Why are you excited about being a Study Melbourne Student Ambassador?

With my experience, thanks to the ups and downs in my journey so far and my empathy for all humans, I am super pumped to work with like-minded international friends to add value to our international student community and grow together.

What are you most passionate about when it comes to supporting other international students?

As an international student who has seen and experienced it all, standing up for our rights and looking at problems as opportunities makes me tick. Besides that, I am super passionate about building our community in a way that helps us to truly integrate ourselves into the Australian culture.

How have you gone about making new friends and building your networks in Victoria?

Making true connections in the digital age is a great challenge to have, and I have embraced the coffee culture in Australia to make friends and build my networks. It is tough for introverts/ambiverts like myself but I have found that all we need to do is be curious.
