Study Melbourne Live Projects is a program under the Lead. Intern. Volunteer. Experience (LIVE) initiative, delivered in partnership with education providers.
The program connects international and domestic students with Victoria’s industries and priority sectors through work-based projects. Students undertake a unique three-week collaborative project learning experience supported by an industry mentor to solve a real business problem for clients ranging from starts-ups, established SMEs and large enterprises, to Victorian Government agencies and community and not-for-profit organisations.
Over the past two years, the program has achieved some impressive results, supporting more than 1000 students to receive high quality work-based learning experiences.
Delivered on behalf of Study Melbourne by Practera, Program Director Hayley Bolding says the program seeks to “support students to not only gain employability skills but also social connections through engagement with the Victorian Government, business and not-for-profit communities.”
“I gained real life experience working on a project. I found that it was very fun and I am glad that I worked with other fantastic people from different backgrounds.” – Project participant, RMIT
