Sleep is vital to your health and wellbeing. Most adults need between 7-8 hours sleep a night. As a student, sleep will support your memory, concentration, and ability to learn each day. In contrast, sleep deprivation can have a negative effect on your mood, by making you feel more stressed, sad, angry, mentally exhausted, and less positive.
Good sleep relies on having a regular amount of sleep, being in a routine, and having good sleep hygiene. Late night cramming, too much caffeine, and juggling work and study can affect your ability to get the sleep you need.
