Empower. Inspire. Connect. A conference for international women studying in Victoria.
Designed by leading international students, Future Female is the first conference of its kind, focusing on international women studying in Victoria.
Future Female is all about empowering women and advancing gender equality locally and internationally.
The inaugural event, an initiative by the Council of International Students Australia (CISA), supported by Study Melbourne, was held in 2019. In 2020, Victoria University with the support of Study Melbourne takes the reigns from CISA as the lead organisation to support the Steering Committee in delivering yet another thought-provoking event.
Led by Miss Belle Lim and a Steering Committee of international students, the event aims to equip females with knowledge and inspiration to bridge the gap between local and international communities, as we work towards a fairer future.
This year, Future Female is going bigger and better as we go digital. Presenting leading women and speakers in Victoria, we are reaching more attendees and involving more international students. Future Female (week) will be held from the 28 September to 2 October, a fully virtual conference with one lunchtime session every day for the week!
You will be taken on a journey to understand the current world as we live in, as well as envision our collective future while being empowered with skills to help shape their paths. The topics will focus on key issues relevant to international students in the current climate, pillars of gender equality, diversity and inclusion as well as practical development and empowerment of women from diverse cultures.
You will meet inspiring women who defined success on their terms and who are creating change in our communities. They will explore how they lead with impact, resilience and find fulfilment at work and in life. You will also get the opportunity to connect with peers and mentors, including current and former international students who have flourished in Victoria.
