Through Study Melbourne, international students have opportunities to get involved with a variety of great events and opportunities, including as part of the LIVE initiative.

One of the many successful projects under the LIVE Initiative is Live Projects. Live Projects is delivered by Study Melbourne in collaboration with education technology startup Intersective Pty Ltd. Watch the video below.

Live Projects is a three-week collaborative learning opportunity open to international students through their education providers. Project providers from government, the not-for-profit and private sectors donate real business projects, which students work on in a team over the course of the program. Every team has the support of a professional mentor and Intersective’s collaborative learning platform Practera.

Live Projects welcome and orientation event

The first group of Live Projects ran from late July to early August 2017.

The second group commenced on 20 November 2017. Two welcome and orientation events were held at the Investment Centre Victoria in mid-November, and the excitement levels in the room were high!

Students heard from some participants from the first group of Live Projects about their experience, and had the opportunity to ask them questions.

These welcome events also provide an opportunity for students to meet their project providers and mentors for the first time, and discuss the project they will work on.

Three-week real world business projects for international students. During the project, student teams act as ‘business consultants’ to work on a real business problem while being supported through a structured program by external mentors. See more videos on the Study Melbourne YouTube channel.
