International Student of the Year – English Language Training (joint winner)
Kezhan came to Melbourne to study a Master in Management (Accounting) at the University of Melbourne. With a background in media and communication, Kezhan wanted to expand her practical skills and management theory in English. Through local work experience and being actively engaged with the Graduate Student Association’s Council (GSA), Kezhan was able to further develop her English language skills in a variety of environments. She is committed to creating spaces, especially for female students, who come to study in Melbourne without family support networks and who may struggle with adjusting.

The reason I came to Melbourne to study is because Melbourne is great city that welcomes diversity and has all the amazing popular cultures.
This award means a lot because I didn’t expect that I would win this award. I met a lot of other student leaders and they are all outstanding and good enough to win this award. I am really surprised to be announced as the winner and I feel it’s a really great encouragement.
