As you commence your studies, we have put together a program of free activities in partnership with organisations in the Victorian community. We look forward to seeing you at one or more of these fun, free events. They are a great way to meet new people and find information that will help you thrive as an international student.

Melbourne Airport welcome

Volunteers will be at Melbourne airport terminal 2 to welcome arriving international students and visitors to Victoria.
When: 7 days a week, 365 days a year and hours of operation are from 6am – 11pm

Avalon Airport welcome

Student ambassadors will be at Avalon airport to welcome arriving international students and visitors to Victoria. Presented in partnership with Avalon airport and Tourism Greater Geelong and Bellarine.

Your official welcome to Geelong

In partnership with Study Geelong.

Are you an international student studying in Geelong? Have you been here 6 months or less? Join us at this free event for a delicious BBQ, get up and close with Aussie animals and more!

Coffee meetups

Walking in two worlds

Study Melbourne essential experience

We are hosting a barbeque for 200 international students at the Treasury Gardens before a large group heads to the MCG to watch the Melbourne Demons v the Essendon Bombers.

This amazing evening will include:

  • a classic Aussie barbeque
  • a chance to win tickets to the epic clash between the Melbourne Demons and Essendon Bombers at the home of Australian football, the MCG
  • games including learning how to play cricket and kick a football
  • 199 other international students to get to know
