As you commence your studies, we have put together a program of free activities in partnership with organisations in the Victorian community. We look forward to seeing you at one or more of these fun, free events. They are a great way to meet new people and find information that will help you thrive as an international student.
Melbourne Airport welcome
Volunteers will be at Melbourne Airport to welcome arriving international students and visitors to Victoria.
When: 7 days a week, 365 days a year and hours of operation are from 6am – 11pm

Avalon Airport welcome
Student ambassadors will be at Avalon airport to welcome arriving international students and visitors to Victoria. Presented in partnership with Avalon airport and Tourism Greater Geelong and Bellarine.

Study Melbourne welcomed international students in style
On 5 March 2020, Study Melbourne hosted a unique welcome event for international students at the Arts Centre Melbourne. Featuring an Aboriginal dance performance, a formal welcome from Ms Georgina McCann, Director, Study Melbourne, food, drink and games. The event was lots of fun for all involved. Ms McCann shared with students how warmly the Melbourne community consider international students, and how they value the global perspectives they bring to Victorian campuses and to the community. Aboriginal Walking Tour – Birrarung Wilam (River Camp) Walk
Learn about Melbourne’s Aboriginal history on this walk that takes you through Federation Square and down to the Birrarung Wilam (Common Ground) Aboriginal art installations.
When: Starting at 1pm each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Where: Yarra Building, Federation Square, Melbourne, Victoria
Cost: Free. Bookings are essential. Visit the Koorie Heritage Trust to book your space on these tours.
Frankston Street Art Walking Tours
When: Various dates between February and May 2020
Where: Tours start at Frankston Train Station, Frankston, Victoria
