Study Melbourne Everyday Heroes

In partnership with Internash, Study Melbourne Everyday Heroes initiative is a multi-stream program promoting connectedness and inspiration for onshore and offshore international students through storytelling and panel discussions. It showcases the positive contribution of all students and alumni to Victoria and the cultural links between Victoria and the world through our Study Melbourne Hubs network.

There are three upcoming streams of Everyday Heroes: Everyday Heroes China (Virtual), Everyday Heroes Southeast Asia (Virtual) and Everyday Heroes Onshore (In-person), including a series of workshops over July and August. Join our webinars and event to be inspired by our guest speakers who will share their stories and advice on networking, professional development, communication skills and other attributes required to build your successful life and career in our great state. All sessions are free, interactive and insightful with different themes, participating students can ask a lot of questions and interact with panel members and other student leaders to develop their network.

Everyday Heroes China — Virtual

Study Melbourne’s Everyday Heroes China is an engaging online program showcasing experiences of Chinese students and alumni in Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Through playful, artistic and creative story sharing sessions, students will gain insights into life in Melbourne and surrounds.

Tailored specifically for Chinese students, Everyday Heroes China is a series of three events. Each event features a unique short video streamed on the WeChat video channel, followed by an interactive panel session with prizes and opportunities to engage with the speakers.

A WeChat group will also be created for students to chat and share their stories and journey.

Everyday Heroes Southeast Asia — Virtual

As part of everyday hero events, we are showcasing the lives of current and former Southeast Asian students from different fields and learning from their experiences.

The objective is to help current international students from Southeast Asian backgrounds to understand the outcomes and their potentials after graduation through inspiring stories of successful former and current international students.
