The Victorian International Education Advisory Council (IEAC) is a non-statutory committee established by the Minister for Trade to provide advice to the Victorian Government on issues and policies relating to Victoria’s international education sector.

The IEAC provides strategic advice on risks and opportunities for a more innovative and competitive international education sector, supports implementation and review of the government’s international education policy, and provides consultation through member stakeholder networks.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the IEAC will have a critical role advising government on sector stabilisation and recovery. This includes contributing to the successful implementation of initiatives under the International Education Short-Term Recovery Plan.
