Study Melbourne was pleased to deliver the ASEAN University Network and Victorian Universities Roundtable on Friday 1 March, on the sidelines of the 2024 ASEAN-Australia Special Summit.

With Southeast Asia being a key international education partner for Victoria, the Roundtable was a fantastic opportunity to hear from the ASEAN University Network and learn about its key strategic focus areas.

Our Victorian universities also showcased their engagement with ASEAN, highlighting how they have pioneered the presence of transnational university campuses across the region, and how they continue to build on these important and long-standing education ties.

Times Higher Education spoke about the opportunities in building higher education partnerships across Australia and ASEAN, to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). NEAS Australia spoke about the important work that had been undertaken with ASEAN to underpin collaboration, through quality assurance of English language training and capability.

The Roundtable illustrated Victoria’s strong commitment to working with Southeast Asia, exploring potential areas of collaboration in the higher education sector, and across the broader education landscape.
