Thank you for choosing the Study Melbourne Hub as a venue to host your next event. The Hub is a 3-level shop front building located on Hardware Lane in the Melbourne CBD. It is centrally located and close to all public transport. It is also surrounded by iconic Melbourne cafés and restaurants. The top floor event space can hold a maximum of 80 people standing or 30 around the tables. It has a stage and presentation and microphone capabilities.

What is the capacity to host events?

80 people standing, up to 30 people around tables or 50 people theatre style.

Is there lift access and storage?

he Hub has lift access and limited storage capacity. Suppliers and stakeholders are able to store some food and beverage but all users of the space must remove all food, drinks, equipment and kitchenware at the conclusion of their event.

What IT equipment is available to use?

  • Projector connected via HDMI and 3.5 sound cable
  • One wireless microphone
  • Sound/ speakers in room through 3.5mm headphone jack
  • Drop down projector screen
  • Lectern

What kitchen facilities are available?

  • Industrial fridge
  • No freezer
  • Minimal plates, platters, cutlery, wine and champagne glasses (quantity enough to cover small event up to 10 people)
  • For daytime events, free tea and coffee are available on the ground floor.
  • Boiling water, coffee and tea bags available on request for events on Level 2.
  • For night events, please bring your own beverage options.

What are the possible room set ups?

There are three main set up styles for the room.

  • Theatre style

  • U shape

  • Standing (no tables or chairs)

Is it possible to serve alcohol during events?

It is possible to serve alcohol at certain events at the Hub. However, at events predominately aimed at students, service of alcohol is not permitted. And when alcohol is provided, “Responsible Service of Alcohol” (RSA) certification is required.

The Study Melbourne Hub is required to comply with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) in relation to the collection, use, storage, security and disclosure of personal information. Please contact the Hub for further information.
