Tell us a little bit about yourself and your achievements to date

I am a third-year undergraduate Bachelor of Arts student at the University of Melbourne majoring in Psychology and Criminology. I work in allied health as a Psychology Therapy Assistant for children on the autism spectrum. I enjoy cooking, patting as many dogs as possible and collecting plants!

What are your goals for the future?

My career goal is to become a Clinical Child Psychologist. I will need to complete my Honours and Masters to get to this goal, but I am confident in my passion for psychology and children’s welfare. I would also love to train dogs in therapy assistance!

Why are you excited about being a Study Melbourne Student Ambassador?

I am excited to meet and support so many new people as they embark on their exciting journey through studying in Melbourne! It is such a wonderful city full of opportunity and culture, and I am excited to be able to help others get the most out of their time here.

What is your ultimate day or night out in Melbourne?

My ultimate day would be waking up early and walking through the botanical gardens before getting an almond croissant at Lune (yum!). Then I would head to Queen Victoria Market to buy some fresh fruit and have a look around Folia House, a local plant store.

What is your advice to students who want to build their opportunities for graduate positions when they finish their course?

Network, network, network! Tell everyone about what you do and show them that you are super passionate. Don’t be afraid to apply for jobs that seem out of your league as you never know what will come from trying. Never doubt yourself and show potential workplaces that you are determined.
