Students enrolled at Victorian institutions can bring their own devices and connect to the Hub's Wi-Fi network to access online learning from Victorian education providers.

Getting to the Hub is easy, with Jaya One accessible via the Asia Jaya LRT Station and Rapid KL Buses. It is also conveniently located and only a 15-minute drive from major highways like LDP, Sprint, Kerinchi and the Federal Highway.

Booking

Who can use the Hub facilities?

The Study Melbourne Hub Kuala Lumpur is open to students, parents, alumni, and education service providers. Hub facilities are for use by students over 18 years of age who are currently enrolled with a Victorian education provider (not including ones with jointly run institutes/programs). Identification is required when you arrive at the Hub (see below for details).

Can students just drop in without a booking?

Students are strongly advised to make a booking before dropping in.

Consideration will be given to students who do not have a booking, subjected to space availability, however, you will need to complete the online booking form.

Do students need to pay a fee for using the Hub?

The Hub is free for all Victorian students and alumni to use.

What are the opening hours?

The Hub operates from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM on Monday to Friday and is closed on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays (unless for booked events)

Can students book multiple dates to visit?

Yes, please select the dates upon filling up the booking form.

Can students’ parents visit the Hub?

Only for events at the Hub organized by local University representatives.

How can students make a group booking?

We encourage a group leader to book the space on the group’s behalf through the booking portal and indicate in the booking form the expected number of guests. All individual guests must be registered members of The Study Melbourne Hub KL.

Facilities and events

What services and equipment are provided?

  • Study Melbourne host events and activities designed to enhance employment options, social connection, and student empowerment.
  • Study Melbourne also partners with Education providers to run events and activities designed to connect and support currently enrolled students or engage with alumni and future students
  • Hot Desks – 27 individual workspaces in a quiet and comfortable environment with free high-speed Wi-Fi, free coffee and water
  • Board Room – a large space with up to 12 seats around a conference table with video conferencing facilities

Note: *The Hub Spaces are equipped with TV, projector and video conferencing facilities

Is food allowed in the Hub?

To ensure a clean and healthy environment for the students, food and drinks are only allowed in the pantry and Common Ground lounge area.

Are the meeting rooms available for students to use?

Yes, they are available. Booking can be made via the booking portal.

Can students access accommodation or visa services through the hub?

No, the Hub does not provide accommodation or visa services.  Students must seek their own independent accommodation and visa advice.

Who can host an event at the Hub?

Victorian education providers and recognised student associations can use the Hub to host events and activities to support their currently enrolled and future students. Also, Victorian alumni chapters are welcome to use the facilities for their events. We encourage you to discuss your event plan with the Hub Coordinator Kevin Lok via email at kevin.lok@global.vic.gov.au.

What is the directions to the Hub?

The Hub is located at Common Ground Jaya One, 72A, Jln Profesor Diraja Ungku Aziz, Seksyen 13, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor which is 15 minutes away from major highways like LDP, Sprint, Kerinchi, and Federal Highway and accessible by public transport and we have ample parking at reasonable rates.

BY LRT

Get off at the Asia Jaya LRT station (opposite Menara Axis) and take a taxi or Rapid KL Bus to Jaya One. It is just 10 minutes away.

BY BUS

It is accessible via RapidKL. If you’re coming from the Asia Jaya LRT or Section 17, board the Rapid KL Bus No. T787. If you are coming from SS2, board Bus No. T790 or PJ02 and walk 6 mins to Jaya One.

BY TAXI

Jaya One is just 30 minutes drive from KL City Centre or Subang Jaya. Need a taxi to go home? Just approach the Information Counter at Level G, near BIG JUICEEE for assistance.

BY E-HAILING

Make ride bookings on GRAB and use the Starbucks pick and drop off point.

What parking is available at the Hub?

Yes, there is ample parking at reasonable rates at Jaya One where the Hub is located.

How does the Hub provide a COVID-safe environment?

The Study Melbourne Hub Kuala Lumpur abides to all government-sanctioned SOPs, protocols and preconditions and duly adheres to the public health advice and directions set by the local authorities to provide a COVID-safe environment.

The Hub is regularly cleaned and sterilised throughout the day, and temperature checks will be taken at the entrance of Common Ground before entering the Hub.

To maintain a COVID-safe environment for all stakeholders attending the Hub, capacity limits will be enforced to enable social distancing. This will reduce the overall number of attendees present in the Hub at any one time, and there may be wait times to enter the Hub during peak periods.

Appropriate booking and registration systems will be used to manage daily numbers and will assist with contact tracing efforts when required.
