Investment in the Indonesian university sector: a regulatory overview for Australian universities

The report provides a broad overview of the regulatory and administrative requirements for foreign higher education institutions interested in investing in the Indonesian higher education sector. The report looks at investment opportunities in Indonesia, in-country service models and key government stakeholders.

This report follows the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA), which entered into force on 5 July 2020.

IA-CEPA creates a framework for Australia and Indonesia to unlock the vast potential of the bilateral economic partnership, fostering economic cooperation between businesses and communities, including education providers.
