As part of the Study Melbourne Ambassador program, our Ambassadors embarked on an incredible journey of growth and learning through our professional development sessions!
The training was designed to boost the ambassadors’ skillsets, build their sense of team and enable them to network with the international student community in regional Victoria.
In August and October, the Ambassadors attended two exclusive days of professional development at the Study Melbourne Hub and Geelong Arts Centre respectively, the latter session including the Study Geelong Ambassadors.
At the first session they delved into core leadership skills including self-awareness, personal branding, influencing others advocacy in the community as well as explored different leadership styles.
On the second day in Geelong, the students focused on public speaking, storytelling, moderating, and facilitating skills as international student leaders. Both days concluded with some fun activities: an Escape Room Experience in Melbourne and a Silent Disco Walk with Study Geelong Ambassadors in Geelong!

One of the day's highlights was the DISC profiling session, where we learned about our personality styles and how they affect our communication and teamwork - Max Tong, Study Melbourne Ambassador.
I had the privilege of attending a series of empowering workshops on public speaking and leadership over the weekend, alongside some incredible ambassadors from both Study Melbourne and Study Geelong!- Divyangana Sharma, Study Melbourne Ambassador.
Selected from a strong pool of applications, the Ambassadors represent Study Melbourne in official events and functions and connect us to the wider international student community.
