Global Citizen is an action focused charity organisation, established in Melbourne and now based in New York, bringing together citizens and world renowned artists to encourage governments, corporates and philanthropists to take action on the key issues of climate change, poverty and inequality.
Backed by funding through the Melbourne City Revitalisation Fund, the international youth leadership summit will be a 3-day thought leadership conference for young global leaders and changemakers from across the Asia Pacific region and will culminate in a high-profile music event.
It will provide an international platform to highlight Melbourne and Victoria as Australia’s knowledge capital and premier global study destination, including our thriving international student community.
The Youth Leaders Award is now open to identify 30 exceptional young leaders from across the Asia Pacific to participate in the summit. The Awards recognise and support outstanding young leaders who have made a significant impact on their local community through their work focused on the UN Global Goals. The 30 winners will each receive support to travel to Melbourne to attend the summit and $5000 to support and further their important work.
